V Rising Expands with Major Update Coming in May

Get ready for some big changes to come with the major expansion of the Early Access vampire survival game V Rising this May. The developers recently revealed new details about the update, which includes changes to the jewels system to allow for more freedom in spell choice, alterations to the prime schools of magic, and a new system for claiming plots of land. Keep reading for the full scoop on the upcoming expansion!

One of the major updates for V Rising is a change to the jewels system. Instead of slotting into individual weapons and magic gear, jewels will be able to be slotted into each spell. This means that players will have greater freedom in their spell choice, increasing the adaptations and possibilities within the world of V Rising. Additionally, jewels will not be dropped when a player dies while an ability is equipped.

Besides the jewels system, other major reworks are coming to the five prime schools of magic. Each school will have an individual identity and better cohesion, with effects that stack with each other. Blood magic is also getting an automatic leech effect, allowing players to become even more powerful. Additionally, Stunlock Studios is experimenting with a new system that would allow players to claim plots of land rather than expanding their castles tile-by-tile.

Although the free expansion arrives in May, V Rising still needs to be completed. The full launch is still scheduled for sometime in 2024. However, this update will bring major changes to the game, increasing the adaptations and possibilities for players. With the new jewels system, reworks to the five prime schools of magic, and the new land-claiming system, V Rising is becoming an even more interesting world for vampires.

In conclusion, V Rising's major expansion has been long overdue, but now it's almost ready. The update will bring changes to the jewel system, major changes to the five main schools of magic, and a new system that allows players to claim land. Despite these new additions, the full launch is still scheduled for 2024, so stay tuned!
